Session Description: Digital resources, such as websites and instructional videos, are a vital part of a digitally blended classroom. Getting students to the right content quickly is best practice. That’s where tools like social bookmarks shine. Social bookmarking tools help teachers collect and remember web-based content without being on only one computer. What’s more, they are social. They can be shared and published for others to use. Additional tools like Symbaloo’s Lesson Plan builder, allow teachers to create interactive lesson paths for students to use independently while collecting information on the student’s performance for their teacher. This course is designed to help teachers curate the digital content that they can use to supplement, or to even supercede, a traditional textbook in a digital blended classroom. The main tools for this course are Diigo and Symbaloo. Teachers will also learn to create interactive lesson paths for students using Symbaloo’s Lesson Plan builder.
